BRINC, the American drone company specializing in public safety solutions, has launched LiveOps, a software platform designed to enhance the coordination and efficiency of drone operations within the public safety sector. LiveOps integrates with the company's hardware ecosystem, including the LEMUR 2 drone and BRINC Ball, aiming to serve a wide range of emergency response teams effectively.
Blake Resnick, the founder and CEO of BRINC, highlighted the platform's commitment to aiding first responders save lives, also adding.
“LiveOps provides access to the powerful features of BRINC hardware products through one unified platform, significantly improving situational awareness, evidence management, and operational efficiency for entire public safety teams”
LiveOps is positioned to significantly improve situational awareness, evidence management, and operational efficiency across various public safety teams, including crisis negotiation teams, SWAT units, and search and rescue teams.
One of the key features of LiveOps is its live streaming capability, which allows real-time video feed from BRINC devices to be directly streamed to the platform, providing each team member with the autonomy to tailor their feed for informed decision-making. Additionally, the software facilitates an innovative approach to handling LiDAR data from LEMUR 2 drones, offering dynamic mapping that can be crucial in crisis situations.
LiveOps introduces the ability to place and record calls with external cell phones or BRINC devices, supporting de-escalation efforts from anywhere globally. The platform also boasts an AI-powered transcription service, aiming to streamline negotiations and briefing processes for personnel.
BRINC has also incorporated a comprehensive evidence and data storage solution within LiveOps. Known as BRINC Vault, this feature acts as a post-mission repository for flight logs and evidence, maintaining CJIS-compliant logs to ensure the integrity and admissibility of records.
Addressing the needs of teams looking to scale their drone programs, LiveOps offers user controls, sub-teams, hardware tracking, and a suite of operational tools. The platform emphasizes security, adhering to CJIS standards, and encrypting data both in transit and at rest to safeguard mission data and preserve evidence integrity.
Don Redmond, VP of Advanced Public Safety Projects at BRINC, emphasized the platform's role in eliminating the need for multiple platforms during missions and its capacity to address the technical nuances of a fragmented technology stack. With its comprehensive suite of features, LiveOps is set to support public safety agencies in enhancing their airborne operations' scale and technical scope.
